Angelus Collector Edition Shadow Grey is an acrylic leather paint color-matched to the grey of the 2018 Jordan 1 "Shadow". Use it to restore that pair or bring the same color to any custom sneaker, boot, or bag.
It's matched to the 2018 version and doesn't match the 2013 release. Each bottle is 1 oz. We've made Angelus products in Los Angeles since 1907.
Before and after you paint
Clean the surface first. On leather, take off the factory finish with Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer. Prep midsoles with Deglazer the same way so the paint can grip. When you're done, seal it with Angelus 4-Coat.
Pro-grade paint, made easy for first-timers
- Angelus is the go-to paint for first-time customizers, and it's the same professional-grade paint fashion, footwear, and entertainment companies use to make costumes, exclusive pieces, and finished products. You get commercial-grade quality at everyday prices.
- Thin coats go on smooth, and the color builds with each one.
- Want to warm up first? Try a few strokes on the Angelus Leather Test Swatch, real leather with a smooth side and a suede side.
- You can always adjust. Dried paint comes off with Deglazer, or you can simply paint over it, so you can keep going until you love it.
- Free step-by-step tutorials on our YouTube channel and FAQs walk you through it. Not sure about a color? Check the Color Chart. Unused products can be returned within 30 days.

Common questions
Will Shadow Grey match my shoes exactly?
It's matched to the original color, but older pairs can fade or yellow, so test on a hidden spot first and adjust with a little White or Black if you need to.
Can I paint rubber midsoles with Shadow Grey?
Yes. Prep the midsole with Deglazer, apply thin coats, and seal with 4-Coat.
Can you airbrush Collector Edition paint?
Yes. Use an airbrush with at least a 0.35mm nozzle, and thin the paint with Angelus 2-Thin if it needs to flow more easily.
How much paint do I need?
A 1 oz. bottle usually covers 2 to 3 pairs of shoes completely, and goes much further for midsoles and accents.
